Magna Car Top Systems is investing $950,000 in new equipment, retooling and facility modifications at its plant in Bowling Green. The expansion stems from a contract recently awarded to Magna by General Motors to design, develop and produce the Chevrolet Camaro convertible soft-top roof. Magna plans to locate the project at its existing Bowling Green facility, where the soft top for the Chevrolet Corvette is assembled. The expansion will add 30 jobs to the existing 18-member staff. The company expects manufacturing of the Camaro roof to begin in the first quarter of 2011
